This book has everything, from Aunt Jurasha starving the young Methuselah with Christian Science, to his gorilla nanny, to Adam's grudge against clothing, to Noah's mad International Marine and Zoo Flotation Company scandal, to Cain's jokes ("Why is an oyster like an elephant?"). Aside from its humour, this book is entirely accurate in all those aspects in which I am qualified to judge.
Whimsical book, some chapters better than others but overall a delightful read. A humorous autobiography of an Old Testament character who lived over 900 years. "Adam asked his father why male ants hadn't been named uncles, a question which to this day has still not been answered."
I enjoyed this book, very cleverly done with manr references to present day characters and to modern technology.Loved the education piece, one letter a year for 26 years and then be ready to start school---what a wonderful Childhood, but Lord help the parents!!

When purchased I thought I would become educated on my Bible studies.It turned out to be a comedy!Written in early 1900's.Nothing offensive.I had no idea comedies were written in Victorian era-delivered with such HUMOR.
I think it was rather werid. I did not like it too well.
