I am of the generation of the ORIGINAL Eggbert and Eggberta books and I was disappointed in the new and "improved" versions of these. I believe in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and the originals weren't broken!! I ordered these to give to a neighbor whose husband is the son of a minister and I am clueless as to why swearing was thought to be necessary. I don't remember that Eggberta appeared at all in the original "Eggbert", but I may have forgotten. I don't think the diary adds anything to book and the fact they are paperbacks pretty much eliminates the functionality of putting pictures of any kind in them.Product details

Not exactly as I expected. I love the cartoons but not the wasted "baby book" pages.
Had this book years ago, so glad I could find it again !!!!!
It was a gift I gave to my daughter and her husband. They LOVED it! I remember this book from 30 years ago (without the diary entries) and have it somewhere.
I remembered coming across one of these books as a teen that my parents had and loved it then. I purchased this one and another one for my daughter since she is expecting her first child. I did read them through before giving them to her. I love them even more now. These are a great gift and laugh for anyone especially expecting moms and dads or new parents.
I bought this for my son and girlfriend as wanted to share this great memory for their expected one. I remember my sister giving me one of the original books when I was first pregnant moons ago and the smiles it brought to me. Searched online to see if they even had Eggbert books anymore and even more pleased that in diary form. My husband couldn't remember our book bur when he went through the pages, it brought back memories to him. I could hear him saying "Oh yeah, remember that". He was into it too again.
